O'Keefe-ian inspiration
We've been treated to a rollercoaster of seasons this spring: one minute dull and gloomy, and the next, scintillatingly sunny. And it never ceases to amaze me how that contrast can heighten the beauty of spring as it unfolds. Outside, the daffodils are peeking tentatively out from the ground for the seventeenth time in the past few weeks to catch up with the hothouse flowers which are already in full bloom, like this lily here.

Peering into one of these instantly reminds me of all the Georgia O'Keefe paintings I'd ever seen (most on posters hung in our university dorms, come to think of it). O'Keefe! Now, there's a woman with a keen sense of colourplay.
Much like Adrienne from California, who sent me some beautiful photos of a Clapotis scarf that she recently finished as a gift. (Perfect, as it happens, for Project Spectrum.) She used Whisper (100% Peruvian alpaca) in Cranberries and US 7 needles.

I just love how it turned out!

Okay... now to stop smelling the flowers. It's back to the grind for me. Wishing you all a wonderful start-of-spring! And happy knitting, of course.
